Elliston Root Cellars in IR

Other than being a great vantage point to view Puffins, the small town of Elliston, Bonavista Bay, NL (placed on map for the curious) prides itself on being the “Root Cellar Capital” of the world. No self respecting photographer would visit there without at least trying to capture a few of these interesting holdovers from the days of isolated out port living. If you google Elliston and root cellars, you’ll be sure to find no end of links to images and musings about these unique curiosities. You’ll also find plenty of photographers who have gone before me. They tend to photograph well in B&W for texture. So…..I’m thinking maybe they would be a little more interesting in Infra Red. At least, a change is as good as a rest. LOL!
