Benefits of Membership

Meetings

The club meets every second Wednesday evening at 7:30 PM. The meeting format alternates between in-person with online via Zoom, and online only.

Each meeting provides members with the opportunity to share and discuss their photos, elaborate on their process, receive feedback, ask questions, make suggestions, offer their time as a volunteer, and learn, learn, learn.

Outings and Special Events

The club arranges in-person photography outings in and around St. John’s throughout the year, as well as special events, such guest speakers (typically via Zoom), social gatherings, exhibitions, and photography trips. The club often has exclusive access to speakers, models, sites, venues, studios, and locations that would not otherwise be accessible to most individual photographers.

competitions

The club is a member of the Canadian Association of Photographic Arts (CAPA) and participates in CAPA’s themed competitions as a club. Members submit photographs to the committee, and six are chosen to represent the club and submitted to CAPA for each competition. There are also in-club competitions sporadically throughout the year.
