Share Your Photos

We encourage all members to share photos with the club. After all, a photography club is about sharing your work and getting feedback. Most meeting agendas include plenty of time for Show and Tell, Critic’s Corner, and CAPA competition selections. Sharing is not a requirement, but it is a great way to introduce yourself, and get to know other members.

Show and Tell

Photographs are displayed in a slide show during regular meetings. Members may provide commentary about their photographs, such as where and how taken, and answer questions from the group. Each photo is displayed for approximately 30 seconds, or longer if a conversation occurs. Participation is encouraged and responses are always friendly.

Please limit yourself to a maximum five photos, unless otherwise stated in the meeting email announcement.

For more information on sharing files, please see How to Share Photos.

Critic’s Corner

This is a photo critique: comments are intended to be constructive, and not critical in nature. Photos are displayed for longer periods, while club members offer feedback about what they like, don’t like, and suggestions about how you may take better photographs, or improve on the image in post processing.

Photos may be submitted anonymously. Please limit yourself to a maximum of three images, unless otherwise stated in the meeting email announcement.

For more information on sharing files, please see How to Share Photos.

Competitions

The club hosts internal competitions and competes as a group in Canadian Association for Photographic Art (CAPA) competitions. Please see Compete for more information.

In-club competition submission requirements and CAPA competition information and deadlines will be included in meeting email announcements.
