Welcome to the Camera 35 St. John’s Photography Exhibits, where we celebrate the artistry and skill of our talented members through curated collections of their work. Our exhibits will feature a diverse range of photographic styles, including landscape, portrait, documentary, fine art, and creative photography, showcasing the unique perspectives of our photographers.
Our first showcase is the 2015-2025 Exhibit of the Canadian Association of Fine Arts Competitions, highlighting a decade of excellence Canada’s most well known photography competition. This collection features award-winning images, works of special merit, and standout entries submitted to the Canadian Association for Photographic Art (CAPA) and along with every selected by our panel of judges for entry into the competitions. These images represent not only the technical mastery of our members but also their ability to capture compelling stories, striking compositions, and moments of artistic brilliance.
This exhibit serves as both an archive of achievement and an inspiration for photographers looking to refine their craft. Whether you are a photography enthusiast, an artist, or simply someone who appreciates the beauty of visual storytelling, we invite you to explore these works and experience the creativity and passion behind every image.

The Complete List of Camera 35 St. John's CAPA Awards (2015-2025)
This list of recognition presents a comprehensive record of the achievements of Camera 35 St. John's members in CAPA (Canadian Association for Photographic Art) competitions in one decade. The list is organized by competition year, beginning each September, and sorted by award type.
Awards are listed in descending order of significance, with national and Atlantic Gold Medals, Silver Medals, and Bronze Medals appearing first, followed by Merit and Honour Awards. Images selected to represent Canada in Four Nations and other international competitions are listed separately at the end of each year.
Although the club does not have official records of award winners for the 2015-2016 competition year, it is important to acknowledge the exceptional photographic achievements of several members whose work received outstanding scores during that period. Recognition is extended to Eric Bartlett (Focused) with a score of 27/30; and Sandy Spurrell (Twin Foxes), Karen Chappell (The Gift), Joe Chase (Splash), and Geoff Whiteway (Iceberg) with a score of 25/30.
